Facilitating a book club/literature study unit for Elementary students sounds easy but is it really? Join us to explore 4 Dr. Seuss classics. We will break each one down with 3 simple goals: read, discuss, and extend/write.

We will meet twice; each time for 2 books.

This class is great for homeschoolers and others who want to help children get excited about reading. Make the stories come alive! Help children apply what they are reading to themselves.

The methods learned can be applied to any book you want to share with your children/students. Come learn the HOW of facilitating books clubs and literature study units for kids!

What to learn?

Learn how to draw from literature to reach goals, such as extending upon themes for discussion and writing purposes Use study guides


  • Will need to obtain a copy (print or web) for each book: The Lorax, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew, and Horton Hearts a Who.
  • Please read each story and write down anything you would like to 1. share/discuss and 2. get further clarity.
